Regular Season Round 19: Charnay - SIG 86-80

An interesting game took place in Charnay-les-Macon where higher ranked SIG (9-10) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Charnay (5-14) 86-80 on Saturday. Charnay looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Power forward Johanna Cortinovis (190-86) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Margot Joret (168-93) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Forward Aline Fischbach (178-89) produced 16 points and center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five SIG players scored in double figures. Charnay moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Montbrison. SIG lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
