Regular Season Round 28: Ura Basket - Korikouvot 96-85

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Kaarina where seventh ranked Ura Basket (15-13) defeated 6th ranked Korikouvot (17-11) 96-85 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ura Basket. Korikouvot was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ura Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Korikouvot's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of Kittitian power forward Kraidon Woods (205-88, college: Drake) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and power forward Teemu Ritanotko (202-94) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Ura Basket players scored in double figures. Ura Basket's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Arttu Saarijarvi (200-96) responded with 31 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Miikka Luosmaa (204-94, college: Regis Univ.) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ura Basket maintains seventh position in Division with 15-13 record. Newly promoted Korikouvot keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost.
