Regular Season Round 28: Espoo Basket - KTP II 74-75

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked KTP II and 8th ranked Espoo Basket had identical 13-14 record. But Espoo Basket was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Kotka 75-74 on Sunday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-17. But Espoo Basket won second period 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KTP II forced 22 Espoo Basket turnovers. Strangely Espoo Basket outrebounded KTP II 41-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Joona Tuomala (197-97) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Vili Nyman (200-98) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Gambian center Baboucarr Ceesay (197-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and American swingman Justice Graham (198-79, college: Glenville St.) produced a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. KTP II (14-14) moved-up to eighth place in Division. Loser Espoo Basket dropped to the ninth position with 15 games lost.
