The game in Ishikawa supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (27-13) played at the court of seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (23-19). Kanazawa Samuraiz smashed Hamamatsu Phoenix 92-52. The game without a history. Kanazawa Samuraiz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hamamatsu Phoenix to just 7 points in first quarter. Kanazawa Samuraiz dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hamamatsu Phoenix's 28. Kanazawa Samuraiz had a 34-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
