Regular Season Round 15: Homenetmen - Sagesse 86-70

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut: Homenetmen (#2) and Sagesse (#7). Homenetmen (10-4) crushed visiting Sagesse (5-9) by 16 points 86-70. Homenetmen forced 19 Sagesse turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Norvel Pelle (208-93, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international swingman Ahmad Ibrahim (198-92, college: Rice) contributed with 26 points for the winners. Five Homenetmen players scored in double figures. American center Todd O'Brien (211-89, college: UAB) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds and the other American import guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Sagesse. Homenetmen maintains second place with 10-4 record behind leader Al Riyadi. Sagesse at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Homenetmen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sagesse will play at home against Al Moutahed (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
