Regular Season Round 22: Albino - San Salvatore 64-57

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Albino (12-10) beat at home 10th ranked San Salvatore (8-14) 64-57 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Albino made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for guard Laura Fumagalli (178-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!). The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Albino's coach Michele Pasqua allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Anna Lussu (163-85) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for San Salvatore. Four San Salvatore players scored in double figures. Albino maintains fifth position with 12-10 record. San Salvatore lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 14 games lost. Albino will face league's leader Broni at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. San Salvatore will play against Pordenone (#6) and hope to win that game.
