Regular Season Round 46: Takamatsu FA - Hiroshima L. 101-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Takamatsu FA's (11-29) home victory over 12th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-37) 101-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Takamatsu FA. Hiroshima L. was better in fourth quarter 27-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hiroshima L. to just 7 points in first quarter. Takamatsu FA dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 38 and had 22 for 30 from the free-throw line, while Hiroshima L. only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 45-21 including a 29-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Takamatsu FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA's coach Tsuda Hiromichi felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Ayumu Osawa (-91) replied with 21 points and Daichi Tomioka added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Hiroshima L.Takamatsu FA moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Oita H.Devils. Hiroshima L. lost twenty fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 37 games lost. Takamatsu FA will face higher ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (#7) in Ishikawa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hiroshima L. will play at home against Osaka Evessa (#4) and hope to win that game.
