Very predictable result in Hod Hasharon where fourth ranked Hapoel Afula (16-6) smashed 9th ranked Hasharon (9-13) 90-70 on Tuesday. Hapoel Afula forced 22 Hasharon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Darrius Morrow (203-90, college: E.Carolina, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Adir Cohen (-95) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Isaiah Sykes (198-91, college: Cent.Florida, agency: CGL Sports) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Tal Lapidot (-96) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Afula moved-up to second place, which they share with Ironi K-A and Hapoel B/S. Hasharon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Hapoel Afula will face Maccabi Raanana (#5) at home in the next round. Hasharon will play against Hapoel Kazrin and hope to win that game.
