Rather expected game when 5th ranked Helsingborg (9-9) was crushed on the road by second ranked Trelleborg (17-6) 102-43 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Trelleborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Helsingborg to just 7 points in first quarter. Trelleborg held Helsingborg to an opponent 23.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Helsingborg 52-27 including a 39-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Trelleborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Helsingborg's players. It was a great evening for Lithuanian power forward Tadas Kvederavicius (200-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Papy Ndiaye (187-94) helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Trelleborg players scored in double figures. Trelleborg's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Erik Joelsson (198-97) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Anton Persson (180-97) scored 13 points. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Trelleborg. They keep a position of BEHS forts leader. Helsingborg lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Trelleborg will have a break next round. Helsingborg will play at home against Wetterbygden (#3) and hope to win that game.
