Pepsi LBL top team - Al Riyadi (12-2) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat eighth ranked Champville (3-11) in Beirut 98-88. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Al Riyadi shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) fired 29 points for the winners. The former international forward Ali Haidar (201-90, college: Michigan Tech) chipped in 23 points. Georgian power forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-83, agency: Interperformances) produced 26 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American swingman Brandon Thomas (198-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 22 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Riyadi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-2 record. Loser Champville keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Louaize.
