Semi-Finals Game 2: Alba Iulia - Brasov 85-51

Alba Iulia cruised past Brasov to sweep the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Alba Iulia. Brasov was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Brasov to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Brasov 42-29 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alba Iulia players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Brasov's players. American swingman Adrienne Webb (175-90, college: LSU) notched 27 points to lead the effort and the former international Sonia Ursu (175-93) supported her with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 10 points and 9 rebounds by American Carla Bartee (182-85, college: Mississippi) did not help to save the game for Brasov. Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Five Alba Iulia and four Brasov players scored in double figures. Brasov's coach Daniel Calancea gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
