Regular Season Round 27: Mulhouse - SAP Vaucluse 71-91

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked SAP Vaucluse and 10th ranked Mulhouse Basket had identical 12-14 record. But Mulhouse Basket was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Sorgues 91-71 on Friday night. It was a good game for American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Daye Kaba (191-86, college: Marist) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four SAP Vaucluse players scored in double figures. American forward Anthony Brown (203-86, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Inception Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Durell Vinson (201-85, college: Wagner) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Mulhouse Basket. SAP Vaucluse (13-14) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Angers BC. Loser Mulhouse Basket dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. SAP Vaucluse will face higher ranked UB Chartres (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mulhouse Basket will play against JSA Bordeaux and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
