Regular Season Round 23: St Chamond - Bourg 68-87

Very expected game when 14th ranked Saint Chamond (9-14) was rolled over at home by fourth ranked JL Bourg (15-8) 87-68 on Friday. The game without a history. JL Bourg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Quincy Taylor (194-82, college: UAB) who scored 13 points and 9 assists. His fellow American import center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Five JL Bourg players scored in double figures. Power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) produced 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and power forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (198-83) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JL Bourg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Evreux. Newly promoted Saint Chamond dropped to the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. JL Bourg will face Nantes (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saint Chamond will play against Souffelweyersheim (#13) and hope to win that game.
