Second Stage Round 4: Etzella - Amicale 48-84

Total League top team - Amicale (18-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Etzella (7-11) in Ettelbruck 84-48. The game without a history. Amicale led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Etzella's 18. They outrebounded Etzella 43-22 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by forward Christina Marinacci (185-91, college: USC) who scored that evening 29 points and 7 rebounds and guard Erica Morrow (172-89, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds by forward Maria Blazejewski (185-91, college: L.Superior) did not help to save the game for Etzella. Forward Samantha Guastella (185-93, college: Quinnipiac) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Etzella's coach Fabienne Fuger gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Amicale have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-1 record. Etzella at the other side keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Amicale will play against AB Contern (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Etzella will play against Musel Pikes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
