Regular Season Round 25: Pure Youth - Fubon Braves 80-92

Top ranked Pure Youth (21-9) recorded its ninth loss against fifth ranked Fubon Braves on Friday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by fifth ranked Fubon Braves (13-17) 92-80. The game was mostly controlled by Fubon Braves. Pure Youth managed to win second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fubon Braves had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fubon Braves especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists. American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) produced 11 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Kan Hiroshi (195-85) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fubon Braves have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Fubon Braves maintains fifth place with 13-17 record. Defending champion Pure Youth still keeps top position with nine games lost.
