Regular Season Round 26: Parnu - TLU/Kalev 87-86

The most exciting game of round 26 in the Alexela KML took place in Parnu. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked TLU/Kalev (16-9) to fifth ranked Parnu (13-12) 87-86 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of TLU/Kalev. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-86. Parnu looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International power forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90) saved the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!). Lithuanian forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Parnu players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-92) replied with 26 points and 5 assists and Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) added 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for TLU/Kalev. Parnu maintains fifth position with 13-12 record. TLU/Kalev at the other side keeps the second place with nine games lost. Parnu are looking forward to face league's leader TU/Rock in Tartu in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TLU/Kalev will play at home against Valga and is hoping to win this game.
