It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was a good game for American-Georgian point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 4 assists. International center Miguel Marriaga (205-84, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard John Cox (194-81, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Bucaneros. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Bucaneros at the other side dropped to the second place with 11 games lost. Marinos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bucaneros will play again on the road against the league's leader Marinos in Puerto La Cruz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
