Heidelberg overcame Bamberg to surge ahead in the playoff series. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-67. BasCats Heidelberg outrebounded Don Bosco Bamberg 37-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. American center Erica Carlson (193-88, college: Dixie St.) fired 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Her fellow American import point guard Serena Benavente (167-85, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. BasCats Heidelberg's coach Dennis Czygan used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Estonian guard Liisi Sokman (166-88) produced 21 points (made all of her eight free throws) and American center Miranda Cantrell (183-93, college: Jacksonville St.) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side.
