Another exciting game for Moron (13-10) which hosted in Morón de la Frontera against 4th placed Fontedoso Carrefour (14-9). Seventh ranked Moron won 74-68. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 20-10 run, which allowed them to win the game. Moron outrebounded Fontedoso Carrefour 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Mike Phillips (201-91, college: Howard) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Pape Sow (205-93) helped adding 9 points and 11 rebounds. Moron's coach Javier Fijo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Carles Marzo (190-92, agency: Duran International) responded with 22 points and American-Nigerian guard Bryant Mbamalu (191-91, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Duran International) scored 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Moron have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Granada and Lucentum. Fontedoso Carrefour at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Moron will play against league's leader Marin on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fontedoso Carrefour will play against the league's second-placed Sammic ISB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
