Regular Season Round 21: Alkar Sinj - Gorica 64-67

The biggest surprise of round 21 was guest Gorica's (9-10) road victory over Alkar Sinj (#7) 67-64 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Alkar Sinj won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Ivan Papac (207-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. Bosnian forward Ante Masic (200-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Stjepan Tesija (206-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and guard Josip Glavinic (192-82) added 13 points respectively. Alkar Sinj's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gorica moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Skrljevo. Alkar Sinj at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Zabok. Gorica is looking forward to face league's leader KK Zagreb at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alkar Sinj will play against Kvarner (#3) in Rijeka and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
