Regular Season Round 47: Tokyo Cinq R. - Shinshu BW 91-93

Twelfth-ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-38) gave a tough game to eighth ranked Shinshu BW (20-23) on Saturday. The visitors from Nagano managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 16 points after three quarters before their 30-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Shinshu BW made 33-of-40 free shots (82.5 percent) during the game, while Tokyo Cinq R. only scored three points from the stripe. Tokyo Cinq R. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) helped adding 17 points and 13 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and swingman Malcolm Lemmons (193, college: CS San Marcos) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Shinshu BW moved-up to seventh place. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their 32th game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 38 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Tokyo Cinq R. will play again at home against Shinshu BW (#7) and hope to win that game.
