No shocking result in a game when third ranked Araski AES (18-5) crushed 14th ranked ADBA (1-22) in Vitoria-Gasteiz 80-46 on Saturday. The game without a history. Araski AES led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to ADBA's 28. Araski AES forced 21 ADBA turnovers. American-Nigerian swingman Kathleen Iwuoha (180-93, college: CS Fullerton) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (181-83) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Araski AES players scored in double figures. Araski AES's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Andrea Malanda (164-90) answered with 10 points and 9 assists and Congolese center Bashala Emilie (196-94) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for ADBA. The victory was the third consecutive win for Araski AES. They maintain third place in Group A with 18-5 record having just three points less than leader Alcobendas. ADBA lost their sixteenth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 22 games lost. Araski AES will face Badajoz BF (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
