Regular Season Round 24: Antibes - Strasbourg 79-85

ProA top team - Strasbourg IG (18-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Olympique Antibes (11-13) 85-79. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Olympique Antibes won third quarter 23-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strasbourg IG shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international point guard Rodrigue Beaubois (185-88, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Kyle Weems (198-89, college: Missouri St.) who added 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Willie Solomon (187-78, college: Clemson, agency: Interperformances) with 17 points and 8 assists and his fellow American import Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Strasbourg IG have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-6 record. Newly promoted Olympique Antibes dropped to the eleventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Orleans. Strasbourg IG will play against Chalon/Saor (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Olympique Antibes will play against Paris-Levallois (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
