There was no surprise in Lugo where 13th ranked Cocinas.com (10-16) was defeated by tenth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (13-13) 76-62. The game was mostly controlled by Leche Rio Breogan. Cocinas.com was better in fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence) notched 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and power forward Federico Ucles (204-93) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by American power forward Mike Carlson (206-91, college: Truman St.) did not help to save the game for Cocinas.com. His fellow American import center Babatunde Olumuyiwa (203-92, college: USC Upstate) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Cocinas.com's coach Antonio Perez rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to seventh place, which they share with FC Barcelona II and Palma. Cocinas.com at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan's next round opponent will be higher ranked Oviedo CB (#4) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Cocinas.com will play against Palma (#8) and hope to win that game.
