An interesting game for Okapi Aalstar (13-7) which hosted in Aalstar 4th placed Limburg United (12-8). Third ranked Okapi Aalstar managed to get a 9-point victory 91-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Limburg United. Limburg United trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 29-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-91 at the end of the game. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA) accounted for 16 points and 8 assists. American Scott Thomas (198-89, college: Bowling Green, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import power forward Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Limburg United in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okapi Aalstar have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Spirou. Loser Limburg United keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Okapi Aalstar will meet Antwerp Giants (#5) on the road in the next round. Limburg United will have a break next round.
