Leader Lattes Montpellier delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Lyon (9-10) 77-70. Lyon was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 33-25 second half run of Lattes Montpellier. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lyon to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Senegalese forward Mame-Marie Sy-Diop (185-85) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Lyon's coach Marina Maljkovic tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Lattes Montpellier. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Lyon at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Lattes Montpellier will play against Angers (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lyon will play against Basket Landes (#6) in Mont de Marsan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
