Regular Season Round 29: AZS AWF Mick. - Nysa Klodzko 80-61

We should mention about the upset which took place in Katowice, where higher ranked Nysa Klodzko (13-16) was outleveled in a road game by thirteenth ranked AZS AWF Mick. (9-20) 80-61. AZS AWF Mick. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Nysa Klodzko's 22. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Nysa Klodzko's players. Forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Patryk Gospodarek (184-94) accounted for 12 points and 13 assists. Four AZS AWF Mick. players scored in double figures. Swingman Tomasz Stepien (192-86) came up with 22 points and center Jaroslaw Bartkowiak (201-85) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Nysa Klodzko in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted AZS AWF Mick. maintains thirteenth place with 9-20 record, which they share with Biofarm PZN and Slask 2 Wroclaw. Nysa Klodzko at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. AZS AWF Mick.'s next round opponent will be Biofarm PZN (#14) in Poznan.
