The game in Espoo was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Peli-Karhut (8-16) played at the court of 8th ranked Espoo Team (6-18). Peli-Karhut managed to secure a 5-point victory 76-71. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-10. But Espoo Team won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Peli-Karhut won last quarter 25-22. American forward Akil Simpson (183, college: SMU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds for the winners and swingman Roosa Lehtoranta (176-97) chipped in 25 points (made all of her eight free throws). Four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Danielle Ballard (175-93, college: LSU) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Lotta Aaltonen (180-85, college: Coker) scored 17 points. Espoo Team's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Peli-Karhut maintains seventh place with 8-16 record. Espoo Team lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted Espoo Team keeps the eighth position with 18 games lost.
