Regular Season Round 19: Arras - Toulouse 80-85

Rather expected game when 14th ranked Arras (2-17) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Toulouse (5-14) 85-80 on Saturday. Toulouse outrebounded Arras 54-41 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Tianna Hawkins (191-91, college: Maryland) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. International point guard Olivia Epoupa (165-94, agency: Comsport) helped adding 18 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Brooque Williams (175-89, college: California, PA) responded with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Elodie Mendy (163-94) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Toulouse moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Angers. Arras lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Toulouse will meet at home higher ranked Nantes Reze (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arras will play against Mondeville (#9) and hope to secure a win.
