Regular Season Round 48: Saitama Bron. - Fukushima 68-87
Date: March 20, 2016
Very expected game when 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (4-38) were rolled over at home by fifth ranked Fukushima (26-16) 87-68. The game was mostly controlled by Fukushima. Saitama Broncos was better in third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was also dominated by American players. The winners were led by swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and forward Stephan Van Treese (206-90, college: Louisville, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds by power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) did not help to save the game for Saitama Broncos. Power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard, agency: I.D.S. Law) added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukushima maintains fifth position with 26-16 record. Saitama Broncos lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 38 games lost. Fukushima's next round opponent will be Yokohama BC (#10) at home where they are favorite. Saitama Broncos will play against Akita Happinets and hope to win that game.
