The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers Bergamo's (20-6) road loss to second ranked Orzinuovi GaGa (21-3) 58-69 on Sunday. Orzinuovi GaGa outrebounded Bergamo 39-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international Rodolfo Valenti (198-80) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Tommaso Milani (190-88) replied with 14 points and 4 assists and center Paolo Chiarello (204-78) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bergamo. Orzinuovi GaGa maintains second position in B with 21-3 record behind leader Forli. Loser Bergamo keeps the third place with six games lost. Orzinuovi GaGa will face Sangiorgese (#14) in San Giorgio in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bergamo will play at home against Pavia (#11) and hope to win that game.
