Regular Season Round 23: Salt - Santfeliuenc 77-86

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Salt (5-7) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Santfeliuenc (8-6) 86-77 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-13. But Salt won second period 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Santfeliuenc dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Salt's 30. It was a great evening for forward Eric Manes (194-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Cristian Oliva (185-82) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Marc Bartroli (195-89) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Xavier Torrent (176-90) scored 19 points. Five Santfeliuenc and four Salt players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Santfeliuenc maintains fourth place in Group C Titulo with 8-6 record. Salt lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
