Regular Season Round 36: Guaros - Guaiqueries 96-88

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Guaros as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Guaros defeated 3rd ranked Guaiqueries in Barquisimeto 96-88. Guaiqueries trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 28-24 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 88-96 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Tyshawn Taylor (191-90, college: Kansas) who scored 26 points and 8 assists. The other American import guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) who recorded 22 points and guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-91) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Guaiqueries at the other side keep the third place with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
