We should mention about the upset which took place in Zamora, where 8th ranked Zamarat (10-14) lost at home to eleventh ranked CREF Hola (9-15) 64-69. Zamarat was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 21-11 charge of CREF Hola, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Zamarat 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Lyndra Weaver (185-87, college: Virginia) who scored that evening 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Shakeya Leary (189-90, college: Syracuse) supported her with 6 points and 12 rebounds. CREF Hola's coach Antonio Pernas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 20 points by point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St., agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Zamarat. Point guard Mariona Ortiz (183-92) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. CREF Hola moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gipuzkoa UPV. Zamarat at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. CREF Hola's next round opponent will be higher ranked Universitario de Ferrol (#9) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
