There was no surprise when 10th ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (1-5) was defeated at home by third ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (6-3) 71-65. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) who scored that evening 25 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Kourtney Roberson (206-90, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's coach Eric Weissling allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points by guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU) did not help to save the game for Caballeros de Culiacan. Forward Sampson Carter (203-90, college: Massachusetts) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Lobos UAD Mazatlan have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Caballeros de Culiacan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
