We should mention about the upset which took place in Kazrin, where 8th ranked Hasharon (9-14) was outleveled in a road game by eleventh ranked Hapoel Kazrin (10-13) 111-68. Hapoel Kazrin shot 62.3 percent from the field. Hapoel Kazrin had a 35-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Hapoel Kazrin players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Hasharon's players. It was an exceptional evening for American center Demarco Cox (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard, agency: 011 Sports) accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Four Hapoel Kazrin players scored in double figures. Guard Yarin Ainhorn (-95) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Carmel Bouchman (205-91, college: Temple) added 9 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Hasharon in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Hapoel Kazrin. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hapoel Migd.H. Hasharon lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Hapoel Kazrin's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maccabi Raanana (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hasharon will play against the league's second-placed Ironi Kiryat Ata (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
