The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon's (3-3) home victory over 9th ranked Vaqueros (2-6) 82-77 on Wednesday. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Vaqueros' 40. They outrebounded Vaqueros 41-20 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201, college: Bethel, KS) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Landon Atterberry (198, college: LIU Brooklyn) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists. American guard Jordan Baker (193-92, college: San Jose St.) came up with 19 points and forward Juan Luis Ramirez (196-91) added 19 points respectively for Vaqueros in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon moved-up to seventh place. Vaqueros at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the ninth position with six games lost. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon will meet Caballeros de Culiacan (#10) on the road in the next round. Vaqueros will play against Frayles de Guasave and hope to secure a win.
