The game in Gjakove supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Ylli (9-12) played at the court of 6th ranked Vellaznimi (3-19). Ylli smashed Vellaznimi 113-70 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Ylli. Vellaznimi managed to win third quarter 29-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ylli dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Vellaznimi's 44 and made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game, while Vellaznimi only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Vellaznimi 50-25 including a 43-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Urim Zenelaj (214-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds (on 17-of-21 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Turkish Erris Nushi (202-96) accounted for 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Arian Qallaku (195-92) came up with 24 points and forward Blendi Matoshi (196-94) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Vellaznimi in the defeat. Vellaznimi's coach Valon Tanushi gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ylli. They maintain fifth place with 9-12 record. Vellaznimi lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost. Ylli will meet at home league's leader Peja in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vellaznimi will have a break next round.
