Regular Season Round 27: TLU/Kalev - Kalev/Cramo 73-86

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#4) and TLU/Kalev (#4). TLU/Kalev was defeated at home 73-86 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. TLU/Kalev managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TLU/Kalev 36-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Latvian Rolands Freimanis (208-88, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Kaido Saks (207-86, agency: Blacktop Management) with 25 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Canadian guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (188-92) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kalev/Cramo (31-0) have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. TLU/Kalev at the other side dropped to the third place with 13 games lost. Kalev/Cramo are looking forward to face league's second-placed TU/Rock in Tartu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TLU/Kalev's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TTU.
