The most important game in the last round took place in Cordoba between second ranked CASLA (26-21) and ninth ranked Atenas (20-28) on Friday night. CASLA was crushed by Atenas on the road 95-76. The game was mostly controlled by Atenas. CASLA managed to win fourth quarter 32-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Atenas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The former international Gabriel Mikulas (200-80, college: E.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Pete Mickeal (199-78, college: Cincinnati) chipped in 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Atenas players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 16 points and power forward Fernando Martina (200-81) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atenas maintains ninth position with 20-28 record. Newly promoted CASLA keeps the second place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Penarol and Libertad S..
