Important game to mention about took place in Koroivos. Thirteenth ranked Arkadikos (7-17) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked Koroivos (7-18) 61-60 on Saturday evening. Koroivos was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 16-12 third quarter run of Arkadikos. The winners were led by American guard Cameron Jones (193-89, college: N.Arizona) who scored that evening 21 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Vasileios Kavvadas (204-91) supported him with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by American forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) did not help to save the game for Koroivos. The former international power forward Dimitris Haritopoulos (205-83) added 7 points and 9 rebounds. Arkadikos moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Trikalla. Koroivos lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Arkadikos will play against bottom-ranked Kavala (#14) at home in the next round. Koroivos will play against PAOK in Thessaloniki and hopes to get back on the winning track.
