Regular Season Round 24: Marin - Moron 83-68

LEB Silver top team - Marin (20-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Moron (13-11) 83-68. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Moron. The game was mostly controlled by Marin. Moron was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Marin forced 21 Moron turnovers. Strangely Moron outrebounded Marin 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by power forward Alejandro Navajas (201-86) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Javonte Green (193-93, college: Radford) supported him with 24 points and 4 steals. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Jose Maria Morales (205-89) did not help to save the game for Moron. Point guard Javier Marin (190-92) added 11 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Moron's coach Javier Fijo rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Marin have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-4 record. Newly promoted Moron dropped to the seventh place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Tarragona. Marin will play against league's second-placed Sammic ISB in Azpeitia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Moron will play at home against El Olivar (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
