Regular Season Round 24: Orchies - St Quentin 72-63

Date: March 26, 2016
Bottom-ranked Orchesien BC managed to get the third consecutive victory. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Saint-Quentin in Orchies 72-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Saint-Quentin. It looked good early as Saint-Quentin took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Orchesien BC had a 15-11 second period charge getting the lead and Saint-Quentin was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-72. Worth to mention a great performance of American Chris Daniels (200-82, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jared Newson (205-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Nigerian power forward Dinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: Inception Sports) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) scored 13 points. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Orchesien BC have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighteenth position with 7-17 record. Saint-Quentin at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Orchesien BC will play against higher ranked Charleville-Mezieres (#16) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint-Quentin will play against JL Bourg (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
