Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked CB Tarragona 2017 (13-11) beat at home 13th ranked Cambados (8-16) 90-83 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 53-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was center Ferran Torres (201-88) who scored 24 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Orion Outerbridge (206-88, college: Rhode Island) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five CB Tarragona 2017 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Sergi Quintela (182-96) who recorded 21 points and Georgian center Shota Gelazonia (205-94) added 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. CB Tarragona 2017 moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Moron. Cambados lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 16 games lost. They share it with Valladolid and El Olivar. CB Tarragona 2017 will meet at home Blancos de Rueda (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Cambados will play against Getafe and hope to secure a win.
