Regular Season Round 21: LTB 29 - Tarbes 72-74

Fourth-ranked LTB 29 (12-9) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Tarbes (20-1) in Pleyber-Christ on Saturday. The visitors from Tarbes managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 14 points after three quarters before their 32-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tarbes made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Tarbes had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international center Elodie Bertal (191-84) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson, agency: Regeneracom Sports) contributed with 22 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Guard Marie Butard (174-86) answered with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Elodie Decker (168-85) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for LTB 29. Five LTB 29 players scored in double figures. Tarbes have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-1 record. LTB 29 lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Tarbes are looking forward to face Limoges (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. LTB 29 will play against Reims and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
