Regular Season Round 36: Pyrinto - KTP Basket 94-92

Ninth-ranked KTP-Basket (13-23) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (19-17). Tampereen Pyrinto managed to secure only two-point victory 94-92. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for American forward Damon Williams (201-73, college: Colorado St.-Pueblo) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Tampereen Pyrinto's coach Ilkka Palviainen allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Devonne Giles (203-83, college: Texas Tech) replied with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Samuel Haanpaa (203-86, agency: Blacktop Management) added 25 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for KTP-Basket. Five Tampereen Pyrinto and four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. Tampereen Pyrinto maintains fourth position with 19-17 record, which they share with Bisons Loimaa. KTP-Basket at the other side keeps the ninth place with 23 games lost.
