Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-40) lost at home to eighth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (16-28) 91-76 on Saturday. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 34. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 46-21 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fukuoka Rizing made 8 blocks. Quite impressive performance for American center Travis Derochowski (209-87, college: Simpson, CA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Satoshi Ishitani (177-85) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Tomohiro Moriyama used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Daichi Tomioka answered with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Ayumu Osawa (-91) added 22 points and 5 assists in the effort for Hiroshima L.Fukuoka Rizing maintains eighth place with 16-28 record. Hiroshima L. lost their twenty seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 40 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
