Very important is a road loss of third ranked Rapla (16-14) against sixth ranked BC Rakvere (14-16) on Saturday night. Visiting Rapla was crushed by BC Rakvere in Rakvere 105-78. The game without a history. BC Rakvere led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Rapla was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 4 assists. Latvian guard Reinis Strupovics (190-87) accounted for 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. BC Rakvere's coach Andres Sober felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Rapla in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for BC Rakvere. They moved-up to fifth place. Rapla at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 14 games lost. BC Rakvere will play against Parnu (#6) at home in the next round. Rapla will play against Audentese/N. in Tallinn and hopes to get back on the winning track.
