Regular Season Round 25: Monaco - Dijon 81-69

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked JDA Dijon (14-11) was defeated on the road by second ranked Monaco (18-7) 81-69 on Saturday. Monaco made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Jamal Shuler (191-86) stepped up and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, college: Hofstra) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import power forward Tyler Cain (203-88, college: S.Dakota) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Monaco. Newly promoted Monaco maintains second place with 18-7 record behind leader Strasbourg. Loser JDA Dijon keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Monaco will face Entente Orleans 45 (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JDA Dijon will play against the league's leader Strasbourg IG and hope to win that game.
