Very expected game when 12th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-40) was smashed on the road by third ranked Niigata Albirex (29-16) 91-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Niigata Albirex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tokyo Cinq R.'s players. It was a very good performance for American swingman Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Niigata Albirex maintains third place with 29-16 record having just three points less than leader Okinawa GK. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their 34th game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 40 games lost. Niigata Albirex will face again Tokyo Cinq R. (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
